Salvador S. Bonadona

Bonadona left his residence in Pierre Part, Louisiana and was last seen in Donaldsonville, Louisiana by a friend on April 16, 1997.*** He has never been heard from again.
On April 20, Bonadona's 1991 Ford Explorer was discovered abandoned thirty miles away from Donaldsonville, near Brusly Saint Martin. It was stuck in the mud on a dirt road near a swamp, two miles west of Louisiana 996. The sheriff's department searched the area where Bonadona's vehicle was found using boats, off-road vehicles, and helicopters, but there was no trace of him. Authorities also conducted a house-to-house inquiry in the Belle Rose area but discovered no leads.
Bonadona suffered from acute schizophrenia at the time of his disappearance and was not known to leave for any length of time without contacting a family member. It's uncharacteristic of him to be out of touch with his family, as he was in constant contact with his children. He was reported missing by a friend from Donaldsonville on April 21, the day after his vehicle was found.
In the months after his disappearance, there were reported sightings of Bonadona in the area, but none of these were confirmed. His case is unsolved and his whereabouts remain unknown.
***Some investigative agencies report he was last seen in Pierre Part, Louisiana on April 18, 1997.
