The family believes she boarded an Amtrak train out of Lafayette with an unknown person bound for Los Angeles, California.

Family asks for help in search for missing woman

A family is asking for the public's help in the search for a missing woman. Sheila Ann Decoux, 55, was last seen leaving Daigle House Apartments on May 15, 2024, according to her daughter.

At 5' 11", she will certainly stand out. From KATC:
The family said Decoux has dark brown hair and eyes, is 5'11" tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has several medical conditions.
The Sunset Limited is a triweekly train, leaving New Orleans (and Lafayette) for LA on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. May 15 was a Wednesday. Assuming it was on time (often it isn't), it reached LA Union Station at 5:35 AM on Friday.
