Case Classification: Lost/Injured Missing
Missing Since: June 5, 1999
Location Last Seen: Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana
Description:
Wyche was last seen in Lake Charles, Louisiana on June 5, 1999. He left his sister's residence at 12:30 a.m. to return to his home in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. He has never been heard from again.
On the morning of June 7, Wyche's 1998 pickup truck was found submerged in the water at the Nelson Boat Launch near Black Bayou, about two miles from his sister's home. Nearby on the bank was a body shirt and a pair of black shorts, which matched the description of the clothes Wyche had been wearing. He was nowhere to be found.
At the time of his disappearance, Wyche was suffering from bipolar disorder. Although he didn't take his medication consistently, his family doesn't believe he was suicidal. Wyche's case remains unsolved and his whereabouts are unknown.
