Hello, WebSleuths.
I can't really verify any of this, so take it with a grain of salt.
I grew up somewhere with a school by woods that had a lake. There would be discarded clothing everywhere, with no real rhyme or reason to what man, woman, child, or anything in between had lost their clothes there.
We would get cute little print-out notices at school about not letting strangers bring us into the woods during recess. I forget whether there was ever any official word, but there was rumor of foulplay/murder and there started to be a lot more of a cop presence around there.
Unrelated, kind of, but I see clothes on the highway every few months. Underwear, too. Men's, women's, children's. Shirts, pants, etc. Sometimes it's a lot, other times it just looks like a couple cherry-picked items from two distinctly different people (size, gender, etc).
Is there an innocent explanation for why someone might toss an article of clothes here and there out onto a busy highway, or does this fit any sort of known patterns (forensic or otherwise)?
