Details of Disappearance
Hunter was last seen on May 19, 1989 when she left the 600 block of Moreland Avenue southeast. She was on her way to the Fair Street Bottom area of Atlanta, Georgia at the time. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Wondering if she could possibly be one of Samuel Little's victims? Age and area lines up and the article says that his estimates for years could be off but he was definitely traveling through that area in the 80s. He chose to kill marginalized and vulnerable women who were often involved in prostitution/addicted to drugs and from what I read this area wasn't the greatest during that time?

I think this may be her. This is 1977, but the locations are consistent with reports of her leaving to go to Fair Street Bottom when she disappeared. A rough area at the time.

She seems to have a charge for aggravated assault relating to this incident, filed 8/12/1977. After this, there is a gap in her Fulton County court record until 1986. On 10/16/1986, there are charges, one with her as a co-plaintiff with at least three other individuals, also surnamed Hunter, type "OTHER DOMESTIC RELATIONS." The other lists her as the defendant, plaintiff as state, with the charges "CR Case without Offense." (County court records are always a thorn in my side to attempt to decipher.) The former case was closed in February of 1987, the other seems to have remained opened until 1999. There is a final charge on 5/4/1987, again "CR Case without Offense," also closed in 1999.

Moreland Ave, where she left, is the dividing line between Fulton and Dekalb Counties--612 Moreland is currently in Dekalb County. In Dekalb County, she has a charge, again CR Case without Offense on January 29 of 1989, less than four months before she disappeared. At that time, she is described as a black female, 5'1", living at 135 E HILL # 27 DECATUR GA. This is over ten miles by car from Fair Street Bottom and her 1977 address on Northside Dr, although only about five miles from the 612 Moreland Ave SE address that she was last seen at. This address is a former single family home, which is currently used as a law office. It's about the halfway point (five miles each way) between the Hill St/Decatur address and Fair Street Bottom.

So, not a lot of pertinent info, but maybe noteworthy as far as her address in January and that she may be a bit shorter than some sites list her.
