I just watched season 2 episode 3 of “The Killer Speaks” on Hulu (originally on AE). In it, Lawrence Tarbert admitted to committing two additional murders (other than the one he was convicted of, which he committed in Alamogordo, New Mexico in 2011) and he admits a few general details about the crimes, but not the identities of the victims. I’ve seen websleuthers do some amazing things... Maybe someone can dig up more on Lawrence Tarbert’s background... like wherever he’s lived... and maybe find out if there are any unsolved cold cases that match up with what he described.
For anyone interested in the details that doesn’t want to track down the episode/show... in the last 5 minutes of the episode he says about the other two murders: let’s call the first one darren... he was your average young white person trying to be something he’s not... no one else was present, just me and him. He ran his mouth to me, swung, we fought... I got the upper hand... while my hands were around his throat I crushed something in there or something, because he died.
The narrator says years later, he killed again. Then Tarbert says: I was minding my own business, walking. He tried to hit me with his car. I happened to have a gun. I pulled it out and I emptied the clip.
I also read in a news article that he was 31 in 2013... so he was 29 when he killed his third victim, and the first two murders occurred before his third victim was killed. Maybe that will help.
