DeeDee249,

Maybe you like conspiracy theories? The Death of Diana, particularly if she was pregnant is compelling reading for many people, e.g. why was she embalmed in France, why was there no Coroner's hearing, why was she flown to a private facility in the uk, why did the Royal Family not want to be associated with her corpse, what role did the intelligence services play, was the driver's blood sample switched, what did Paul Burell tell the Queen that overrode his allegiance to Diana, or was he simply still working for the Royal Household, at a distance, he certainly accepted all the gifts, storing them with no qualms?

.

Wouldnt her family, since she was a divorced woman be responsible for her body? Accidents DO happen. I think alot of this has been sensationalized to sell books. The driver was on a prescription drug and had drinks, NOT a good situation plus it was said he was driving VERY fast.
The one thing Ive always wondered about was the white car, did they ever find it?
I wouldnt buy any of these books. Even the royal kids arent happy about them being writen, they know its people trying to make money off their dead Mum.

FWIW,

I just think the paparazzi were out to get what they wanted and they did not care how fast anyone was going. I think Diana was angry and wanted the driver to go as fast as possible to get away. Did I read that he was drinking also - the driver?

She had gone out of her way to elude them that night, going out a different door, etc. I just dont' think it was a conspiracy, more like a tragedy perpetrated by the paparazzi - who are fairly low in my opinion.

Yes,the driver had been drinking and was on prozac to boot..not a good combo.I think it was said he was even out there teasing the paparazzi and cheering them on at some point.IOW,he already had them going b/f Diana and Dodi ever stepped a foot in the car.
I think so too...Wharfe put it better than anyone else..security measures weren't followed,Dodi arranged what *he wanted them to do,and there was no time for anyone to plan such a conspiracy,or even to think for a second it would work.

feddup,

Well check what I wrote and compare it against the known facts, also bear in mind some alleged facts have been revised.

The drivers blood sample may not be his, the sample was sourced in a foreign country.

Diana was embalmed in France preceding her corpse being transferred to the UK, naturally this prevented any investigation.

It appears as if there was a tragic accident, ok fine, but why all the funny stuff after her death?

Al Fayed wants the Queen to give evidence in court, no chance that will ever happen.

Something is being covered up, but where the Royal Family are concerned that is par for the course, even the the Monarch's income and tax accounts recieve special treatment, a section is devoted to just them, this conveniently prevents anyone from knowing precisely how much of the Royal Grant is actually spent each year, what is state property and what is not, nobody knows how much of the historical artefacts and paintings etc belong to the state or the Royal Family, there are no invoices, so there is vast scope for items to become misplaced etc.

Definitely something is being covered up. Diana was under surveillence not only by MI5 and MI6 but the CiA here as well. It was the muslim associatiion, I think. She was NOT "head over heels" with Dodi, nor was she thrilled with going to Paris, but rather went on this whirlwind vacation for 2 reasons- to make Dr. Hasnat Khan, a Pakistani heart surgeon she called "the man of her dreams" jealous after he balked at their relationship progressing to marriage. He hated the spotlight, and his family did not approve of a non-muslim wife. And because so many of her friends, who she usually relied on for summer companionship, were either on the "outs" with her or had scaled back their invitations because the burden of dealing with Diana and her sons' massive security and papparazzi issues had become undoable.
I am not in general a fan of conspiracy theories. But there are a lot of pieces in this tragedy that don't fit.
And history has taught us that anyone can be killed.
I also am suspicious about the death of Marilyn Monroe. It'll all come out one day. (the JBR case, too).

She was the mother of the future king, so it was a bit of a different situation. The Queen DID want it to be handled privately by the Spencer family, but public opinion was VERY opposed to that.
The "white fiat uno" WAS found. It's owner, a member of the French tabloid press, "died" a little while after it was found.
I feel bad for the princes, but if there is more to the story than they wish to believe, then it should be told. If money is made in the telling- well, that's the way of the world. It's not a good enough reason NOT to probe into her death.
Government security forces, whether it is our own CIA here or MI5 and MI6, as well as every other country's, are truly unchecked as far as what they can and will do in the name of security. If they want someone taken out, it will be done. President, princess, pope, king, dictator, business man, reporter, man on the street.
