If you want information on a registered sex offender, FBI has provided a way to look it up online.
Goto this link Sex Offender Registry Websites | Federal Bureau of Investigation
and select the state you want to narrow your search to. Then fill in the info about the suspected person. If he/she is a registered offender their info should appear in the database. Its really helpful.
