The conviction of Alex F. Scesny in the 1996 killing of Theresa K. Stone has prompted a New Jersey-based profiling team to upgrade his status to “significant person of interest” in the deaths of prostitutes from the Main South area of Worcester.
Convicted of rape and murder, and sentenced to life for the murder of Theresa K. Stone, 39, in Finchburg, 2006.

Suspect in five more killings:

2003 - Betzaida Montalvo, 29, Marlborough, MA
2003 - Carmen Rudy, 29, Marlborough, MA
2004 - Dinelia Torres, 33, Hudson, MA
2004 - Wendy A Morello, 40, York, ME
2007 -Lineida Olivera, 34, Rutland, MA (mother of 11 children)

This is an article from 2008 when his DNA was a match in Theresa Stone's murder.

Here are a bunch of articles about Alex Scesny's trial for the murder of Theresa Stone, for which he was convicted:

The Boston Herald had extensive and excellent coverage, but their articles are in a paid archive. If you feel like paying, there's an especially interesting article about how LE used Scesny's very bad driving record to track his movements and place him in the areas where bodies were left (http://bostonherald.com/news_opinio...05/bad_driving_record_maps_scesny’s_movements).

I live about two miles from where three of the bodies were found. Scesny has never been charged with the other murders and probably won't be due to lack of evidence, but since he was arrested, there hasn't been another similar murder.

During a hearing Friday before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, defense attorney Kenneth Seiger argued Scesny’s conviction should be reversed, in part because prosecutors overstepped their bounds during closing arguments in the 2012 trial when they described Scesny’s defense as "fiction" that was "irrelevant” and "immaterial.” Those statements struck at the heart of Scesny’s claim someone else committed the murder, and impeded Scesny's constitutional right to defend himself...

At least three of the five justices seated for Friday’s hearing appeared sympathetic to that argument. Justice Margot Botsford said the prosecution’s comments “struck me as completely inappropriate, at best.”

Justice Barbara A. Lenk suggested a ruling by the court might be the only means to curtail similar conduct in the future. “This is one of those cases that absolutely goes right up to the line, if not over the line,” she said.

Good God, if his conviction is overturned, he gets released from prison, right? :scared:

This isn't a new article, but I hadn't seen it before. About a private group called STALK that profiled the cases Scesny is a suspect in.
