A mom of four was found with significant injuries after a couple with ties to her and the home where she was discovered went looking for her. The homicide is believed to have happened between Monday night and Tuesday morning and Stoughton Police are asking for anyone who might have seen or heard something to contact them:

The Norfolk District Attorney's Office said the body of Amber Buckner, 40, was found at about 11 a.m. Tuesday at 743 Park St., which is near 5th Street.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey confirmed Buckner's body was found in an unattached outbuilding on the property. His statement called the case "an apparent homicide."

Morrissey said it was "pretty simple" for officers to determine Buckner had been killed, but he did not reveal how she was killed.

An arrest has been made for the murder of Amber Buckner:

Victor Carter, 39, was taken into custody at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC by members of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, who were working with members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.

The DA Office says that the person who is charged has a relationship history with the victim.

A man accused of stabbing a woman to death in Stoughton, Massachusetts, in December appeared in court Tuesday to face a new murder charge in the killing.

Victor Carter, 40, pleaded not guilty in Norfolk Superior Court after being indicted by a grand jury in February. He'd previously pleaded not guilty on a murder charge brought in Stoughton District Court — the new court hearing was prompted by the grand jury's new murder charge.

A doctor who examined Carter Tuesday recommended that, given how a psychiatric condition he has was manifesting, he be re-evaluated in a state facility for competency to stand trial, which the judge ordered.
