Sterling Heights [MI] man arraigned on child charges

Aug. 12, 2010

A Sterling Heights man who allegedly drugged a minor girl, sexually molested her, and sent images of it over the Internet, was arraigned today on child charges in federal court in Detroit.

Robert J. Mueller, 47, of Sterling Heights stood mute at his arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to multiple charges relating to claims that he arranged for sexual photo shoots with a minor girl at his home, and posted pornographic images of other minors on an international child site.

And he allegedly didn't do it alone.

According to the federal indictment, Mueller and his cohort, John Belloli Jr., 50, of Dearborn Heights allegedly conspired to share child over the Internet, arranged meetings to engage in sexual acts with minors and photograph it, and sedated one minor -- who was less than 12 years old -- with prescription sleep aids before engaging in sexual acts with her. The two allegedly photographed one another "digitally penetrating and performing oral sex" on the minor girl..."

BOSTON, Mass. - An Acton man was charged today in federal court on receipt of child charges of Receipt of Child .

BRAD WARNER, 33, was arrested and charged in a criminal complaint with receipt of child . The criminal complaint alleges that in March of 2009, Warner knowingly received visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, and knowingly possessed visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, Warner, who is a co-founder of HammelFit, a fitness and education program designed for children under the age of seven, exchanged numerous emails with other persons located outside of Massachusetts.

It is alleged that Robert John Mueller of Sterling Heights, Michigan received e-mails from an e-mail address, thesnark.lg@gmail.com with user name Charles Dodgson, containing conversations about sexual interests in little girls and their sexual desires for little girls from the ages of approximately three to 10 years old. The user of the e-mail account indicated to Mueller that he had a particular sexual interest in an approximately seven year old girl. It was later determined that the user of the email account thesnark.lg@gmail.com belonged to Warner. It is alleged in addition to Warner’s e-mails, Mueller also communicated through over 100 e-mails with John J. Belloli, Jr. of Dearborn Heights, MI. During which time they had multiple conversations describing sexual attraction of minor female including minors as young as three years old. It is further alleged that on March 14, 2009, Belloli e-mailed Warner a video file that depicted a prepubescent female and an adult male engaged in sexual acts.

According to the complaint, on two occasions, the person using the name Charles Dodgson and using the email address thesnark.lg@gmail.com, sent Belloli multiple cell phone videos of a prepubescent females along with texts, one of which depicted a prepubescent female getting changed.

U.S. Attorney Ortiz said, “Law enforcement has no greater responsibility than ensuring the protection of our children. The rising prevalence of the production, collection and exchange of images of children being sexually abused, and the use of technology to facilitate the sexual abuse of children presents a heightened danger that we cannot ignore.”
“The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) aggressively uses its investigative authorities to protect our communities from those who seek to sexually exploit the most vulnerable members of our society - our children,” said Bruce M. Foucart, Special Agent in Charge of ICE HSI in Boston. “ICE HSI will continue to aggressively pursue and hold accountable individuals involved in this vile behavior who mistakenly believe the Internet shields them from detection.”

Warner was arrested early this morning and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings. Both Mueller and Belloli are awaiting trial in Michigan.

If convicted on these charges, Warner faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of up to 20 years incarceration; to be followed a maximum term of lifetime supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

Post #77. Again just goes to show how these creepers are so charming. The mom's child was in his class and loved it. Mom had just spoken to him prior to his arrest. She loved how he knew little things about her child. Then the poor woman said all she did was felt like throwing up.

Oh, that is so darn creepy. The poor Mom. That is the profile of a person who shows up posting on WS. Lost her sense of trust and belief in innocence. Changed the entire family's life. That's really sad. We do have the slimy guys to thank for that.

Isn't it interesting how these cases unravel just a bit at a time? I envision this "situation room" with a huge global map and pins literally filling up every country. They're baling but the sludge just keeps rising.

Filly, you're just far too jaded. The man was a fine engineer. He worked hard. And Notre Dame High School left its mark on him:

Peel it all away (as he's sitting on that tack) and he's loving and unique. What he did with the "love" and uniqueness sure hurt a whole lot of people. My guess is that his teachers are dying a million deaths.

I have sat on a tack before, and it is definitely not enough for this guy. I hope they all get castrated with no anaesthesia. More than that though, I hope the victims receive lifelong therapy and are able to form trusting healthy relationships with their romantic partners as adults. Speaking as the partner of a child abuse victim in which photos were taken - besides the lifelong trust issues, the feeling of objectification and the negative attention prevails in their adult relationships - my partner does not like being the center of attention, even if it is good attention, and does not want to have a wedding for this reason.
