Laury last saw Brittney at the end of June, she said, and Brittney’s brother last saw her at the family’s home around July 8. Brittney was officially reported missing with police at the beginning of September.

Laury said Brittney was wanted on warrants over the summer and was on the run because she was scared. Brittney has pervasive developmental disorder, said Laury, which led people to take advantage of Brittney and get her involved in criminal activity.

Brittney McCormack, 27, has struggled with substance abuse in the past, John Llewellyn, Rockland’s chief of police, said. Though she has gone missing repeatedly in recent years, police were able to get McCormack counseling and support services. But she now hasn’t been seen by her family since mid-summer.

Police believe Rockland woman missing 6 months is dead, but a search with Massachusetts State Police aims to bring closure to her family

Namus

It doesn't sound as though anyone thinks there will be good news but her family wants and deserves a chance to grieve and move forward. Thinking of them this holiday season.

Massachusetts State Police searched a wooded area in Rockland on Wednesday. They were looking for Brittney McCormack, who went missing last summer.

Numerous police vehicles were seen along Forest Street, where officials confirmed the search was connected to the McCormack case. Officials would not say what led them to search that area.

Family searching for answers, offering reward in missing woman's case

March 25, 2022

The McCormack family has spent the last eight months desperately searching for answers about Brittney, who was last heard from in early July. Summer McCormack said her bank account, including Supplemental Security Income benefits, have sat untouched since then, leading her family to assume the worst.

Her family this week announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to her recovery.

Summer McCormack said her family realizes that people who have knowledge of what happened to Brittney could be in a bad situation themselves, so she's hoping the reward money is enough to allow them to find a safe place to stay so they can speak up.

Several large searches have been held for Brittney, and anonymous tips continue to come in.

That's a really nice sentiment. I know a family from Rockland that suffered a similar tragedy. I hope these folks get some answers and peace.

The family of a missing Hanover woman announced Wednesday a reward for information that leads to her recovery.

Brittany McCormack, 27, went missing last summer. Her family is now offering a $5,000 reward for the young mother.

She lived in Hanover but often traveled to Brockton, Rockland, Abington and Hull.

Earlier this year, police searched a wooded area for the missing mother of two young children. Her family said police believe McCormack may be deceased.

“Brittney would do anything for anyone and she has a heart of gold,” said Laury McCormack, Brittney’s mother. “I’m praying someone will come forward and help my family recover my daughter. If you know where she is, I’m begging you to say something.”

She is described as a white woman who has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, sandals and a green Army jacket. Both of her ears and her nose are pierced. She has a tattoo of a peace sign on her lower back, “dream on” inside her wrist and a red heart with a tail on the back of her neck.

Here's hoping that her family's search reaches a conclusion soon. It's been a long wait for them.
