Emerson College student Daniel Hollis dies after suffering ‘extensive and irreparable’ brain damage during altercation after party
Boston police issued a statement Thursday morning saying they responded to a call about an ongoing assault at 15 Park Vale Avenue Saturday morning at roughly 1:30 a.m., finding Hollis unconscious and bleeding from the head.
Hollis was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery due to a blood clot following the incident. Doctors told Hollis’s family that his injuries affected large portions of his brain and that he “will not be able to sustain life, even with the aid of life support systems.”
The Boston Police Department is still actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
