Details of Disappearance: Eric Cormier was aboard a boat with his friend, Henry Goyetche, fishing about 100 yards off the coast of Provincetown, MA when he fell overboard just prior to 4:30pm. The Coast Guard was dispatched, and searchers were unable to locate any trace of him other than his hat.
The following timeline was provided by the Provincetown PD:
1624 hrs. Call from CG in re; man in 50s fell overboard off Wood End. P-2 Tone for divers.
1705 hrs. Harbormaster White and Divers are on the scene.
1727 hrs. P-2/Henderson advises that subject missing from boat is one Eric Cormier out of Sesuit Harbor, Dennis.
1745 hrs. P-20/White advises that divers are in the water.
1804 hrs. P-20/White advises divers back in boat, negative result.
