The West Springfield Police Department is actively looking for Kevin Kimball, 38. Kevin has been reported missing by his family and he may be in the Mittineague Park area of town. Officers and Detectives are still in the Mittineague Park area searching for Kevin, along with assistance from the state police air wing. If anyone has seen Kevin or has any information as to his whereabouts, please call the West Springfield Police Department at 263-3210.

Officers and detectives are currently searching the area of the park, located off Route 20. The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing is assisting by searching by helicopter, he said.

He was believed to be in the area of Mittenague Park, and police and detectives spent much of Monday searching the 325-acre park without finding Kimball. A state police helicopter aided police in the search.

West Springfield police said that while they still ask anyone with information on Kimball’s whereabouts to call the department, they are also asking that people not go to the park to try to aid in the search.

Badly decomposed body pulled from river identified as missing West Springfield man

IDENTITY CONFIRMED; DECEASED
A body that was pulled from the Westfield River Tuesday afternoon and sent to the state’s medical examiner’s office has been identified.
Late Wednesday night, Hampden District Attorney spokesman James Leydon confirmed that the body recovered was that of Kevin Kimball.
