MA - Neglected children ages 3, 5 & 6 found w/out teeth, unable to speak, Daielson

Three children found inside a Connecticut home were so neglected that they were missing teeth, dehydrated, still in diapers and were unable to speak, state police said.

[FONT=&quot]Donna Rodeheffer, 33, of Webster, Mass., has been charged with negligent cruelty to persons and risk of injury to a child, Connecticut state police say. Her husband, Nicolas Emory, 24, is currently being held in Arizona as a fugitive from justice as part of a child investigation based in Connecticut, authorities say.

[/FONT]The report indicated that 24-year-old Nicolas Emory and 33-year-old Donna Rodeheffer had three children, ages 3, 5, and 6, who were found to be missing teeth, malnourished, dehydrated, in diapers and unable to talk.

She was held on $150,000 bond. It’s unclear if she has an attorney.

According to the arrest warrant, all of them lived in the home along with the children's grandmother. Police learned that the three children "had rarely left the walls of the Danielson residence and none of the children had ever been enrolled in school."

Police said the children's father 23-year-old Nicolas Emory was being held in prison in Arizona on child -related charges after an investigation by the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit. After Nicolas Emory is brought back to Connecticut, police said he will be charged in the Danielson case.


Emory was arrested with the children's uncles, Jason Matthew Emory, 38, James Kyle Emory, 32, on Nov. 9 in Fort Mohave.

Authorities spoke to family members. The children, according to investigators, were never enrolled in school and rarely left the home.
