The new indictment filed in U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, includes new details about Birchmore's pregnancy: the child was male, conceived about 8-10 weeks before.

BOSTON — Former Stoughton police officer Matthew Farwell is slated to appear in federal court in Boston on Friday to face new charges in connection with the death of Sandra Birchmore’s unborn child.

Farwell was arrested and indicted on a federal charge of killing a witness or victim in August 2024 in the 2021 death of 23-year-old Sandra Birchmore. A superseding indictment filed last month revealed that Farwell has additionally been charged with violation of the protection of an unborn child.

Federal prosecutors on Friday asked a judge to reject a request to hold a trial in Rhode Island for a former Stoughton police detective accused of killing a young pregnant woman whom he allegedly began sexually exploiting when she was 15 years old and her unborn son.

Matthew Farwell, 40, will receive a “fair trial with an impartial jury” in Massachusetts, prosecutors wrote in a 17-page filing.

They pointed to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who bombed the Boston Marathon finish line in 2013, and tried unsuccessfully to move his trial outside Massachusetts.

Farwell’s trial is scheduled to begin next October. On Tuesday, prosecutors disclosed that US Attorney General Pamela Bondi instructed them not to seek the death penalty for Farwell.

I am just catching up on this. It's happened not far from where I lived for forty plus years until I recently moved back to my hometown.

An under age girl who was groomed and raped and killed by a policeman. The very person/people who are supposed to be safe.

The story is way too familiar.

IIRC Pam Bondi was official in Fla when Epstein was originally given the sweet heart deal by Acosta ? And she is smack dab in the middle of the whole Epstein mess now.

We are talkling about murder of a pregnant adult woman who was once a child raped by the very peopl;e she went to for the Explorers Program - A program for at risk teens who needed guidance and boy oh boy did she get guidance.

I cannot wrap my head around why people are not as outraged by this as I am.

Are women just so used to being of less value, esp if they don't have "agency" or are not from the right side of the tracks ?
