Hold off though. Nothing is to be trusted or believed. I think he really still was just based on all the texts between them and SB's commitment to him, as she knew it to be for her. He still murdered her based on her fact that he was and so her text story goes. Maybe there was a moment with another, but maybe there was not. She did enforce the fact to him she wanted HIS baby because his wife was preg. This is what makes me think that she would of just been with him. Trial hopefully will tell, but with DA in the mix at the top, we do not know. IMO

I don't think there's any question that Farwell believed he was the father. The texts between them make that clear. And in all likelihood, Sandra believed he was the father as well. She told everyone in her orbit that he was the dad. So, in the end, I don't think it really makes a difference to the case against him.

But if it is true that he wasn't the father, it's just another crazy twist in this sad, strange case.

At a subsequent interview in 2022, Heal acknowledged having a single sexual encounter with Birchmore, but insisted it was consensual and never happened again, court records show.

Wow! With that link up above it says only 30 law enforcement officers in Massachusetts have ever been decertified by the POST Commission, including Matthew and William Farwell.

Only 30? Isn't that 30 too many?? This is nuts...

Judge Joseph Leighton granted the motion on Wednesday.

Birchmoreā€™s death was ruled a suicide, but federal prosecutors say evidence points to Matthew Farwell. In an affidavit unsealed last year, prosecutors said Farwell killed Birchmore, then staged her Canton apartment to look like a suicide.

The math actually makes it look like about 10 percent of that has been over the last few years.

Local authorities in Norfolk County deemed Birchmoreā€™s death a suicide and declined to prosecute before federal authorities took up the case. While Massachusetts is not a death penalty state, federal law allows for the death penalty, which prosecutors may take up in this case.

The fact that they refused to prosecute says everything we need to know about Norfolk County. They like to look the other way and that ā€œthin blue lineā€ is obviously thick as thieves!

Both Sandra and MF believed that the child was his.

The paternity of the child is irrelevant to the murder case. There is no one shown entering SBā€™s apartment after MF had left.

We probably should discuss the DNA separately- after Lydia Fairchildā€™s case, demonstrating that chimerism is possible in humans (and can come from both sides), interpretation became more complex.

It is the murder case. Totally aside, it is also the case of horrifying moral climate in Stoughton PD. MOO.
