Man accidentally creates viral 'magpie god' after attempting to scare birds

A homemade attempt at creating a Bunnings owl has gone terribly wrong, with backyard birds instead appearing to 'worship' the creation.

Rather than scare the birds away they've been bowing down and talking to it.

I know magpies are intelligent and I could imagine the story they might tell their children about the time they talked to the "strange bird"

I love magpies, always have and the strange thing is where ever I move there is a magpie family living next to my house. They are the most entertaining species.

I love Kookaburra's too. I live in a country town and we don't hear them as often as we once used to.
