Man gets shot, hops on plane
Motion sickness was the least of one flyer's worries Saturday night.
Police say the man told them he'd been shot in Tampa, Fla., during a domestic dispute. Instead of going to the hospital, he went to the airport, because he had a plane to catch.
He endured the roughly one-hour plane ride to Charlotte, but when he got to the Queen City for his layover, he told airport officials he'd been shot.
But, the man said, he wanted to keep going to his final destination, said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Capt. James Fields.
"Airport law enforcement decided against that," Fields said, adding that the man's wound "must have been very very minor."
