A man removed a metal drain cover on the street, covered it with a board then steered his unsuspecting girlfriend into it minutes later. Not content with stuffing her in there, he rammed her umbrella down with her, replaced the lid and then nonchalantly sauntered away, smoking a cig.
The whole thing was caught on cctv, though not before the poor woman was trapped down there for two and a half days. He's now admitted trying to kill her because he didn't want to repay $9,000 she had loaned him.
