Man robs bank to get medical care in jail

Earlier this month, Verone (pictured), a 59-year-old convenience store clerk, walked into a Gastonia, N.C., bank and handed the cashier a note demanding $1 and medical attention. Then he waited calmly for police to show up.

He's now in jail and has an appointment with a doctor this week.

What in the H E double hockey sticks is this world coming to that people have to resort to this kind of action to get some help?!? This is nuts! :maddening:

Don't they a hospital he could go to get medical attention for people who have no insurance. He might have been better off going that way.
