“There is enough that has come up in the investigation that we are concerned there has been foul play. In an abundance of caution and to get help from the community ... we really want to get the community involved. We're really requesting as much help as possible," Hyatt said.

"We have all of our resources, including our Regional Auto Theft Task Force, our carjacking team and aviation out looking for both her and her vehicle"

So scary!!! I wonder what makes them think this vs. other scenarios? Or if they are just expressing how seriously they are taking the case...
Hoping for her safe return...

Hyatt and other police officials declined to get into specifics about the investigation, and about what caused their concern of foul play, citing the “very sensitive” nature of the investigation.

“There’s not a lot we can divulge,” Hyatt said. “Our primary goal is to locate Charla and bring her home.”

Baltimore County Police are working with officers in Baltimore City to probe a possible connection between the disappearance of a Milford Mill woman and the death of a man whose body was found near Carver High School earlier this week.

How terrible! Hoping for justice for her family and that it comes easily to those working the case. Feel so bad for this beautiful woman’s family who had to endure two traumatizing deaths in one week :(

In a release put out Monday afternoon, county police said homicide detectives have taken the black Hyundai Santa Fe, discovered at Manhattan and Jonquil avenues in the city’s Glen neighborhood, for forensic examination.

Initial findings were that she died of sharp force trauma, police said. “Investigators are confident that the body is that of Charla Melvin,” county police said in a release today.
