How sad that someone so young with a serious health history ends up homeless. If he’s walking with a limp and is in such a condition that his skin is discolored, it seems he would be noticed. I wonder if he is still in remission. Perhaps he was addicted to the pain meds he likely needed to get thru recovery.

This is a 3 month update according to the person running the site. There’s a photo of him on camera too.

ETA: Missing Adult Kids Website is where this is at.

Find Missing Christopher Dietterick! ***(UPDATE: NO LONGER MISSING)***

AFTER MESSAGES FROM A FAMILY MEMBER, I WAS TOLD THAT CHRISTOPHER DIETTERICK HAS NOT BEEN LOCATED. APPARENTLY, THE ARTICLE THAT I WENT BY TO UPDATE HIS CASE IS UNTRUE. THOUGH I REMAIN CONFUSED ABOUT HIS CASE, I WILL LIST HIM AGAIN AS MISSING AS A PRECAUTION. APPARENTLY, I MISREAD THE LAST NAME OF THE MAN IN THE ARTICLE. ALL MY MISTAKE. HOWEVER, MY ERROR DOES not WARRANT THAT HARASSMENT I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING ON THIS WEBSITE AND IN MY INBOX, ALL DAY. AGAIN, APOLOGIES. DEEP SIGH. IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE ON MY PART. NO HARM WAS EVER INTENDED>

Wow, Payroll Nerd. What is wrong with this world? First, that this missing man went homeless with severe medical needs - and then that people would be mean because you got something wrong while trying to help.

It was the person who works at that website they were being mean to. Not me. It’s awful tho, I agree. Poor guy was trying to help.

August 29, 2025

When Elkton Police Department investigators posted a notice on the agency’s Facebook page last week, asking for the public’s help in finding a local man who disappeared more than six years ago, they did so in hopes of receiving new information, not because there had been a development in the cold case, an EPD spokesman qualified on Thursday.

Investigators are still trying to find 46-year-old Christopher Dietterick, who was last heard from on May 31, 2019, and they have periodically posted reminders of his disappearance on social media over the past six years — which is what they did on Aug. 20, according to Lt. Ronald Odom, an EPD detective and spokesperson.
