Court records for Maryland were tough to search without a full name, but I found a 62 year old Joel Edwards living in Gwynn Oak (same height and general weight) that was transferred to circuit court. Criminal case, but no further details. There is a complainant named, can't be named here as they are NOT a POI.

Kidnappings of adult males are extremely rare, and often involve criminal/drug/gang elements (though not always) https://casesearch.courts.state.md....il.jis?caseId=3B02444767&loc=2&detailLoc=DSCR He (with another man listed at the same address) also very recently had a lien imposed (not huge $2500) by the courts. https://casesearch.courts.state.md....aseId=C03JG23003949&loc=55&detailLoc=ODYCIVIL

He was abducted in front of his home and it was captured on a doorbell camera. Neighborhood witnesses told WBAL he pulled into his driveway and someone was standing by the garage door. A white van pulled up and two men forced him into the van.

Police have found the white van, but won't say where it was found.

From the linked article:
Police would not confirm, but sources told 11 News Edwards was a property manager and a well-known gambler. He was allegedly returning home from Live Casino in Hanover when he was kidnapped.
