Their daughter, Hajalalaina Consuella Rabearivony, said they attended their grandson’s soccer game at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda Saturday before they went missing.
"They watched the game. My mom has a health condition, so she stayed in the car, and my dad stayed in the car with her," Rabearivony said.
She said her parents left in her car at about 12:15 p.m. to return to her home several minutes away. Her mom needed to take her medication.
"When we came here, they were supposed to be already at home, but they were not home. The car was not there," Rabearivony said.
Family and friends posted hundreds of fliers in the area when the couple never came home. They did not have a cell phone and were driving a blue 2021 Hyundai Accent with Maryland temporary registration plate T1090948.
“No water, no food, no credit card, no cash,” Rabearivony said.
She said they would not have gone somewhere without telling her. She believes they may have gotten lost, but with each passing hour, she is more and more worried.
“We are very concerned and especially because she has a health condition,” Rabearivony said.
The missing couple speak French and Malagasy, a language from Madagascar.
