Woman Reported Missing After Not Showing Up For Work At Francis Scott Key Mall, Police Say

She was last seen at around 10 a.m., Aug 5, in the area of the Francis Scott Key Mall and Holiday Drive.

Pownall had arrived at the mall to begin work before 10 a.m. but did not report to her job inside, police said.

Missing, Katherine Pownall, 36 yrs, from Frederick County, Maryland was last seen August 5, 2020.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information to help locate a missing person last seen in the area of the FSK Mall and Holiday Drive at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Mary Katherine Pownall, 36 years old, arrived at the mall to begin work prior to 10:00 a.m. but did not report to her job inside. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues. Could an ex partner maybe have been waiting for her outside her work and made her leave with him?


Or was she possibly feeling depressed and thought she just couldn't face going into work again that day? So she just didn't enter and left.


Very strange circumstances.

One advantage is surely there are numerous cameras at the mall, in the parking lot, at nearby businesses that caught something! I mean, I would think so!

ABSOLUTELY!! That place is a hotspot for all kinds of things. And there are a ton of businesses, restaurants, gas stations, etc.... all around FSK mall. There will be lots of footage, no doubt! MOO.
