Didn't realize this was so close to where Bernadette Marie Caruso disappeared with her vehicle too (1986 however).
Bernadette's family was raising money to search for her with sonar in 2013, I can't find anything about if they ever did and what they were able to cover. I believe Stansbury Quarry was of most interest so they may have searched that at least. Mary would have been heading away from that area if she was going to Edgemere though.

That is a great site. I just wish we had more information on WHAT store she may have been going to and where it was.

Has anyone spoken to LE on this one? I know I have not. IF my hunch is correct about a water accident, the size and weight of her vehicle would hold up over time, BUT would also more easily sink into and be covered by silt. Based on videos I have watched of AWP and others, sonar may not be able to pick it up after so much time. A magnetometer may be necessary, which is very expensive.
