This is horrible... what kind of parent wakes up and sees their child's friend is missing and doesn't call the parents to let them know right away? They probably thought she went home... I don't think she had many caring adults in her life... it seems like someone in the house abused her or tried to murder her during or after the process... then grabbed the wrong coat thinking it was hers and dumped the body... I bet someone else in the house suspected the assailant, so it was treated as "oh, she must have gone home, so I'm not worried" instead of "a child in my care is missing, so it's an emergency"... the parents are called immediately, asking questions or letting them know...
