Clothing & Personal Items:

Tan button-down shirt, khaki shorts and white deck shoes. (Deck shoes were a preppy style of shoe commonly worn at the time, especially in warmer months around the water.) This kind of shoe features a leather upper with a hard plastic sole, and one lace with one leather tie.

Circumstances of Discovery:

The remains were located in a wooded area off of Maryland Rt. 13, south of Pocomoke City, MD. The cause of death was found to be homicide, as the victim was shot in the back with a shotgun.

Circumstances of Discovery:
Subject found in a wooded area along a highway.

Clothing & Accessories:
Tan short-sleeved unbuttoned shirt with label "Manhattan Nouveau," tan denim cutoff shorts (size 32), white briefs found on the body. Also found on the body were dockside-style white tennis shoes and white socks that featured a design of 2 yellow bands and 1 blue band.

Clifton Womack resembles the recon but I can't fathom why he'd be in Maryland.

@victoriarobinson642 - There is a bit of a resemblance there, to be sure and all the stats fit as far as age, time last seen, height. The recon probably shouldn't be relied upon too religiously, as the victim's remains were badly decomposed, NamUs estimates that the body had been there up to a year. Few details seem to be available in Clifton Womack's case. Charley Project says: "Womack may be in need of medication for unspecified reasons."

Since Ohio practically neighbors Maryland (well, you have to drive a bit through WV to get there) it isn't that much of a stretch to envision him being in the general area - beach trip? It's quite possible that he wanted to do some traveling that spring and summer, and could have been attracted to the Maryland / Virginia beaches (Pocomoke is very close to the MD/VA border). The unidentified man seems to have been dressed in very typical beach attire worn by men at the time. This is what his shoes may have looked like:
