Detectives continue investigating missing person case:

Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate a missing person case. On March 1, Robert “Bubba” Norris, age 61, of White Plains, MD, left his residence to go to a friend’s house in Prince George’s County. He was driving his white Ford F-150 pickup truck and stopped at two other homes in Prince George’s but never arrived at his destination in Clinton. On March 4, Norris was reported missing to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office after friends and family realized he never arrived at the Clinton location. Norris is 6’0”, weighs 180 lbs., and has short gray hair. He has a tattoo of a shark on his right arm near his wrist. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, a black puffy jacket, and black shoes.

Norris’s truck was located on March 7 on Colebrook Drive in Temple Hills, MD. Detectives have been working with the Prince George’s County Police Department and have determined there has been no recent activity with his cell phone or credit cards.

Detectives have been in constant communication with Mr. Norris’s wife and ask anyone with information to call Detective J. Smith, ID #555, at 301-609-6479. Robert Norris, also known as Bubba Norris, was last seen on Saturday, March 1, 2025. He left his daughter's house around 3:30 PM and went to a friend’s home in Camp Springs off Auth Road before heading to Kenwood Street in Temple Hills, MD. At 4:30 PM, he spoke to his son-in-law, stating he planned to watch a boxing match at a close family friend's house. That was the last time his family had contact with him, and he was last seen in Kenwood. His phone last pinged on March 4 around 3 PM, less than a mile away near the intersection of Allentown Road and Old Branch Avenue in the Camp Springs/Temple Hills area, close to the Allentown Road Royal Farms. His truck was discovered on Friday, March 7, on the 2500 block of Colebrook Drive in Hillcrest Heights, behind Iverson Mall. Video footage captured a male suspect using a key to enter and exit his truck at that location.

Am I understanding correctly? From what I'm reading he left White Plains, MD and his final destination was going to a friend's house in Clinton, MD. If that's the case, his travel doesn't make much sense.

Red arrow = approximate location of Kenwood Street

Going from White Plains to Clinton is only about 30 minutes using Hwy 5. But, instead, he went past Clinton to Auth Road in Camp Springs. Then, he went to Kenwood Street in Temple Hills. Truck ended up North (2500 block of Colebrook Drive) of Clinton, Auth Road, and Kenwood Street.

Ah, rereading, it appears he first went to a friend's house off Auth Road, then went to Kenwood Street before telling his SIL that he was going to a friend's house in Clinton. That makes more sense.

If you go to FB and read family members posts they clarify his living arrangements (no red flags) but it explains the "his house" "his daughter's house" language in the missing reports.

Comments here suggest the local police weren't bothered about taking a missing persons report at first or looking. Members of the public found his truck.

I feel really sad reading this thread. A guy out and about visiting his old neighbours and friends and then just gone.

I don’t know if by this they mean that a man (who might have been Bubba, but maybe it’s too impossible to see but definitely a man) was seen using the key to enter and exit his truck. Or if they mean someone who is definitely not him and considered a possible suspect is seen entering and exiting his vehicle. And if they have this on video (cctv? so static), then they must have video of the truck being driven and left there. Is that what they mean?

It almost sounds like someone came after the truck was parked there and entered/exited it, but maybe it’s just not clear. If someone who wasn’t Bubba drove the truck there, well that’s a bit fishy.

I feel really sad reading this thread. A guy out and about visiting his old neighbours and friends and then just gone.

It's FB so all I can say as several people have the same interesting comment about his reason for making the multiple stops -business in nature (no red flags ) and not personel. That increases the likelihood of an interaction with someone who had been a stranger prior to the stop.
