BALTIMORE - Concern is growing for a Baltimore woman who was reported missing two weeks ago, and still has not been found.

(..)

Worried friends and family are putting together a prayer vigil Wednesday evening in hopes that it will help being Ms. Spell home.

Those who know Ms. Spell say she has been renting an apartment from a long-time friend and co-worker for the past 15 years.

Family members said Ms. Spell is a retired federal employee and worked as a greeter at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

According to family members, they found Ms. Spell's doors were forced open, the house was in disarray and an estranged woman in the homeowner's bed.

Relatives found that Ms. Spell was not in the home, but her cane, walker and other health-related items were still in the home, and her glasses and other personal items were found outside the home.

Ms. Versey is still missing. :(

Last November WMAR spoke with Versey's sister, Bettea Brown-Wilson, who was one of the last to hear from her.

“We had went out for her doctor’s appointment and came back, had dinner. My husband took her home and that’s the last anybody had seen her,” Brown-Wilson told WMAR reporter Brittney Verner.

Very sad news. Rest in peace Ms. Versey :(

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are extremely suspicious. Was the strange woman found in her bed ever questioned? What excuse did she have for being there?

Just found this in the above article:
But, that's not all of what was discovered at Versey's house. Someone was actually still inside, sleeping in Versey's bed.

“He asked who are you, and she said who are you, and he said you don’t live here and she said my friend brought me here, and he said your friend, this is my sister’s house, get out of her bed," said Brown-Wilson. And she just jumped up, pushed him and ran out the front door."
So was this woman ever even located after this?

I wonder, also. Hard to believe that her remains sat in a container in an empty lot for 6 months, and no one paid any attention.
Also, has there been an autopsy, or have prints or DNA taken from the apartment? The stranger was laying on the sheets, they must have been full of evidence...

Approx location of her home to the intersection where the body was found is about a 5 minute walk.
