I couldn’t find any other information on this unfortunately. Hopefully someone else has better luck.

Sounds like not much was found, and it was likely just bones of an unknown age. I searched through newspapers.com but haven't found anything.

Seeing as there is not much to go on, I have submitted April Lynne Snell #MP123532 as a potential match. April is a 23 year old black female who was last seen in Salisbury, Maryland on September 3, 1999.

These remains found in Snow Hill on November 16, 2015 are believed to belong to a black female between 18-30, and the bones are very very old. So I think April is as good a candidate as any. Especially considering Snow Hill is only 25 mins away from Salisbury.

According to her NAMUS profile,April had a small gap in her two front teeth. I’ve highlighted that detail in my correspondence, but that is all dependent on if the skull is a part of the remains they were able to retrieve. If so, hopefully they will be able to cross-reference that specific detail.

As per Salisbury PD - Cold Case Files, April’s remains may also be in Virginia.

On October 5, 1999 SPD officers responded to a report of a missing person. Investigation determined that April Lynne Snell was last seen several days prior in the company of her friend, Catharyn Ruth Garner, and two men. Snell has not been seen since that time. Garner was found murdered several weeks later in a wooded area off of Athol Rd. in Quantico. Snell had several young children at the time of her disappearance and indications are that she would not have voluntarily left them for such an extended period.

I'd like to add someone as a possibility. Her name is Alisha (Alicia) "Lisa" Johnson. She was a 19 year old African American woman. She went missing from Alexandria, Virginia July 28, 1996. She had 2 young children. August 4, 1996 her legs were found in fauquier county, Virginia. They were reported as belonging to a white woman. Only to be dna analyzed and reported as belonging to Alisha in 2002. It's about to be 30 years with no answers. Her children and grandchildren deserve to know what happened to her. And that she is still important to people.

How is it that the 15 year time gap is possible?

10 years have passed since the remains were found. She is still unidentified, and her cause of death unsolved.
