The state medical examiner positively identified the remains as Anson Snowdeal, 43, of Sullivan.

Human remains discovered in Ellsworth have been identified

Commercial land surveyors reportedly found the remains in the woods off Red Bridge Road on Nov. 14.

"The cause and manner of death are pending but the autopsy and police investigation does not support that Mr. Snowdeal’s death was the result of criminal conduct," the release said further.

His apple tag was apparently last pinged on the same road these remains were found on.

Nearly took 2 years...can't help but think his remains would have been found a lot earlier if LE had mounted a professional search, instead of assuming he was running from warrants and wasn't in danger. From what I can see online, no mention of LE-initiated searches, only search parties run by family.
