''BOWDOINHAM (WGME) -- Police are asking for help finding a 15-year-old Bowdoinham girl who has been missing since September.
Kayleigh Beasley reportedly left Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham on September 17. Police believe she got into a red pickup truck at that time.

Kayleigh’s last contact with her family was on September 25.

The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office has tracked down multiple leads with no success in locating Kayleigh. It is possible that she is no longer in Maine.

According to police, Kayleigh has been known to use multiple aliases and use a fictitious age in her attempts to gain rides or housing when she has run away from home.
These include variations of the first names Kayleigh and Emma, and variations of the last names Court, Cortez, Cruz, Dodge, and Beasley.

If you have any information that may lead to Kayleigh’s whereabouts, please call the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office at (207) 443-9711''

Oh my, I haven’t heard of this one. I used to work in Topsham for years and have a lot of connections there and friends who went to that school. I’ll share. Thanks.

I'm wondering about the reason for all of the aliases?

The pictures from the OP seem to show a very sad and angry young teen. I hope she is ok and has found what she was looking for.

Thanks for the happy update @Unalienable Rights!

It is happy news that she is safe, but she might not be real happy right now.

MISSING 15 YR OLD LOCATED

A 15-year-old missing female from Bowdoinham has been located. She was picked up in Kennebec County earlier this afternoon. She will be taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland and held over the weekend on warrants for violating the conditions of her release on previous criminal charges in Sagadahoc County.

The teenager has been missing since September 17, 2021, as she was last seen at Mt Ararat High School in Topsham. Since that time local law enforcement agencies had put out notices, press releases and notified state and federal authorities. Numerous tips were received from social media posts as well as members of the public calling to report possible sightings.

Detectives from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office recently ramped up efforts to locate the missing person, working collaboratively with a number of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

This sounds like a bad situation. I'm not sure of Kayleigh's background and family history but the posts mentions her running away, having several aliases, previous criminal background, lying about her age, etc. If those types of actions continue, IMO it's very possible that we'll see her in the news again.

This kind of thing happens literally everywhere all the time. I wonder what made children's services concerned enough for her safety that they amplified the signal so much - or if it was actually more on account of her criminal history and they just formatted a wanted poster as a missing child because they correctly expected it would be more effective.

Assuming she's not a danger to anyone but herself I hope they keep a tighter lid on her until she's 18 and at that point I hope that she's as capable of living independently as she thinks she is.
