Details of Disappearance
Madore was last seen riding a ten-speed bicycle in Milo, Maine on April 6, 1996. He was headed towards the Bangor/Bridger area. has never been heard from again. Friends reported him two days later. Very little information is available in his case, but authorities have found no evidence that he's living elsewhere.

According to this article, it sounds like Maine State Police were still actively investigating this case as of November 2018, when their "mobile crime lab [was] reportedly at the house where Madore was last seen."

Also, "his younger sister still holds out hope he’s still alive. 'Mike, if you’re out there please know that you are missed and that you are loved,' she wrote. 'It’s been too long. If anyone has information on where he may be, please call the MSP.'”

The article, however, doesn't mention anything about his cycling trip from Milo to Bangor. If that information was accurate, the trip should've taken Michael a little over three hours to complete.

There are some bodies of water along the way, depending on the route he chose. But it's not like he was in a car which would trap him inside if he accidentally drove into water. If he knew how to swim, he could've reached safety. I wonder then if maybe a driver struck him on the road and decided to cover up the incident.

Hello! This is my first post, as I made this account just for Michael. I was on this site reading about another person, and just thought I would check cases in Maine. I was surprised to see Milo come up! A small rural community with not even a traffic light. Everyone knows everyone....but I am an outsider by far.

Do we know where in Milo he was last seen? Heading to Bangor on bike is a bit weird to think about as it's about an hour by car if you follow Elm to the highway. If he was traveling on Elm for an extended length there are many twists and curves, as well as some steep drop offs. Or was he last seen on a secondary street? I can't seem to find a lot of information online, or even about the house he was last seen at.

Please let me know if I can helping any way!
