Aurora police are hoping that information from the public will lead to the location of a 57-year-old woman who has been missing since 2003.

Bertha A. Salgado-Ponce, of the 900 Block of North Avenue, apparently went missing sometime after Sept. 14, 2003, after phoning a relative that she had safely arrived in Juarez, Mexico, where she had traveled to visit another family member.

No one has seen or heard from her since that time. Authorities say she has disappeared for long periods of time twice in the past and that any leads or information as to her whereabouts have been exhausted. There is no concrete evidence that she was in danger at the time.

Salgado-Ponce is a female Hispanic, 5’01”, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
