A Northern California family is desperately searching for a teen who disappeared after taking a trip to Mexico to visit his sister.

Reyes, 19, arrived in Lagos de Moreno in Jalisco in early April. Reyes went out at night on Sunday and never returned.

Reyes was scheduled to fly back to Hayward last Thursday at the Guadalajara Airport, but was reported missing days before with a friend, Jesus “Jessy” Ramos Corona, 36. The two went to get tacos late on May 2, but family members have not heard from either person since.

Reyes’ sister, who spoke to KVEA-TV, told the station that they were supposed to meet that evening after he and Ramos Corona went to get food.
