From FB, a couple more photos of her showing her neck tattoo in greater detail.

Does anyone have a middle name for her? I found info that she may have been living in Virginia prior, but without a middle n ame, can't confirm.

OK, looks like her middle name is Marie. Her instagram with photos that match her missing persons photo and shows her unique tattoo on the neck/chest. The instagram also has a snapshot of two of the books she wrote mentioned later in this post.

Her soundcloud with many photos of her face and tattoo - middle name Marie, location Charlottesville, Virginia.

These court records are from someone with her name and from Charlotesville Virginia but without full date of birth can't I guarante it's the missing woman. But it's concerning. Minor raffic charges and dismissed charges not included. https://eapps.courts.state.va.us/ocis/searc

She has written indie published books (2025) as Caitlin Marie Tressler , one is about about her experience with mental illness and the justice system, starting with alleged incarceration in San Diego at age 25, it's not pictured by cover on her instagram account like the other two books but it's on her Amazon author page with them. One book is a message "as mommy" to 2 children, the book also dealing with separation and mental health issues. The other book is about using AI for creativity. No reviews, but you can find the book(s) under Caitlin Marie Tressler on Amazon. The author picture on the back cover of the book, "Named" is an artist's likeness so no help confirming identity but since the books are on her instagram page with her many photos I'm certain she is the author - definately a creative person.

There's an interesting comment from a friend on FB on one of her missing threads about why she left VA for Detroit but it's not verified so can't link or provide detail.

DPD chief: Sergeant should have entered home of Detroit woman who is now missing

'This scene should have been processed very differently,' a DPD official said.

A Detroit police sergeant has been taken off the street while the department probes why she left the scene of a domestic violence call despite evidence that 36-year-old Catilin Tressler may have been in danger.

The caller who alerted police said the suspect — Tressler’s boyfriend — had “access to (a) blade,” and officers who responded are said to have known he was in possession of a knife.

Tressler, sources say, told officers that she may have suffered a concussion and had a black eye.

A 36-year-old Detroit woman is missing following a reported domestic violence incident at her home late last month, and a police sergeant has been placed on administrative duty amid questions about the response, authorities said.

The Detroit Police Department said officers responded March 27 to a home in the 2700 block of Webb Street for a report of a fight involving Caitlin Tressler and her ex-boyfriend.

Authorities said he has a lengthy criminal history in Virginia, including prior charges of robbery, grand larceny, assault, and firearm-related offenses.

Tressler had recently moved to Detroit from Charlottesville to get away from the man, whom she described as abusive. the two had been in a relationship for about 18 months.

Neighbors reported the March 27 disturbance,

the ex-boyfriend is considered a person of interest, and they have made contact with him.

A U-Haul connected to the case has also been recovered, and two other vehicles were found in the driveway, both registered to Tressler. They were impounded and are being processed as part of the investigation.

She sent me a text, um, through Facebook in February, telling me that she was moving back to Detroit, and that she had left her boyfriend, saying that she still loved him, and - but that, that he had done really bad things that she hadn't told me about," G. said. "I was talking to her recently, saying that, and Cat said that he was there, that he had come to Detroit, and that they were back together. And thinking about moving back to Charlottesville yet again together."

Caitlin found the courage to leave her abuser and move away. But like so many other cases we see here, he wouldn't leave her alone. Wormed his way back in and re-started the domestic violence cycle. I'm not hopeful she is alive 🙁
