"Momma, I'll be right back in a few minutes. I'm just goin' up to Hubble and Fenkell to the store."
That was on November 20, 2009, but Carlita never came home. She hasn't been seen or heard from since then.
Carlita Patterson was 56 years old at the time. She was a widow and mother of five.
"We still celebrate her birthday. We let out balloons at nighttime. We do the same thing almost every year hoping Carlita will return," says Hunter.
Carlita Patterson's younger sister, Ingrid, remembers driving up and down the neighborhood to look for her.
"I used to do it every day. Every day I would do it - every day," she says.
Now, she finds herself doing the same thing, but for a different family member. Her niece, Mia Patterson, went missing in late May of 2017.
