Police: Detroit Teen Left To Play Baseball, Never Came Home

(WWJ) Detroit Police are calling for tips to help find a missing teenager, who left home to play baseball and never returned.

• last seen leaving his home on Warrington, near Livernois and McNichols Rd.
• 6’1” / 140 to 160 lbs
• wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, red socks, and black Nike sandals
• good physical and mental health
• has never gone missing before

According to a family member, Woods disappeared after walking away from his home in the 17300 block of Warrington in Detroit. He reportedly left to play basketball and never returned.

Woods is described as 6 feet, around 140 to 160 pounds, has a light complexion, freckles on his face, brown eyes, and short brown hair.

Do we know if it made it to play basketball? What school does he attend?

I've never known a teenage boy to play baseball/basketball wearing sandals. Did he take a pair of shoes with him to change into? If not, maybe this indicates he wasn't really going to play sports.
