Circumstances of Disappearance: Cathy was a passenger in a single-engine plane en route to Beaver Island (In Lake Michigan) from Battle Creek, MI. The plane disappeared from radar around noon when it was preparing to land on a landing strip on Beaver Island and were about 35 miles out, near the Leelenau peninsula when they went missing. No debris field was ever recovered. The plane held two couples-The pilot Tom Lammon (MP 22240) and his wife, Peggy (MP 22238), Cathy and her husband, Ray (MP 22204). Cathy was employed at Davenport College and resided in the Kalamazoo area.

Just realized that this MP and the thread I created immediately before this for Peggy Lammon probably should have been one thread since they went missing together. I will request for a mod to delete one thread and add the MP of the deleted thread to the thread that is kept.

I'm not surprised that a debris field was never found; the plane probably went into the water intact. Lake Michigan is hundreds of feet deep in places, so finding the plane would be difficult and costly.
