Hello, websleuths!
I will start with the backstory of how I stumbled upon this story, then go through the details I know and finish this off with what I believe happened. I would love any feedback regarding this case, as I have a strong feeling that this case is essential to my home county.
When I worked for the University of Michigan Health Systems in the heat of the pandemic, there was no telling how my nights would go. One night, it was a particularly quiet night at the hospital, and I found myself with ample time throughout the night, a common occurrence in the hospital and a blessing we haven't seen enough of in the last three years. While perusing Facebook, as I clearly shouldn't have been doing, I came across an article titled, "Detroit theatre has history of bloodshed, tangled ownership," and was sucked in.
My initial thought was, "There's no way that Detroit has a 'Murder Theater,' and I don't know about it." Then, reading further, I thought, "Why don't more people know of this story?" A predominant black business owner is killed in the streets of Detroit, the same city he owned a plethora of businesses in. Not only did this strike me as odd, but his murder continuing to be unsolved was the cherry on top. <modsnip>
Let me know what theories y'all have <modsnip>
Thank you!
Cherokee Taylor.
