There are four girls in that age range missing from 2019-2022 in just Detroit.

Who "owned" the abode? I'm assuming it was a dilapidated house, cuz that's Detroit typical

If we knew who frequented the house that would certainly help. Probably just teens and young adults, I assume. But seemingly harmless teens can be capable of violent crime too.

Thanks Victoria for the list: I bet it's not even at full capacity, poor girls :(

If the remains are on the older side (I don't see a PMI besides that the remains are skeletal), then I'd suggest Harmony Johnson, a 17-year old who vanished from Detroit in 2007, and Ciara Stacho, a 16-year old missing from the Detroit metro area since 2015, as possible matches. They are both within the height range.

I went with 2019 because it appears the house was last sold that year, so someone definitely would have physically been there.

Inside of a "dwelling" but only partial remains? What happened to the rest? Apparently no clothing or any other identifying items?
Was a skull found? No reconstruction yet?

A teenage female found in 2022, but they feel pretty confident she passed in 2017 (?)...

Another teen girl was found in an abandoned building in Detroit in September 2018 so perhaps they believe they died around same time? Oddly enough that girl was 5'8-6'1 tall.

Most of the major cities aren't, unfortunately.
Chicago is pretty good. Detroit has pretty famously had issues with how they handle unidentified bodies and very rarely end up making identifications. Only 1 of their 20 UID child cases have NCMEC involved. Once I emailed them with a match and they basically told me yeah its probably her but we don't have samples so there's nothing we can do.

How horrible and sad. How old was that case? I really hope they are doing much better with their new UIDs nowadays.
