Not only did Moore “dismiss her allegations”, he told her to come to his hotel room!

Moore instead pled “no contest” to two additional misdemeanor charges of malicious use of a telecommunications device in context of a domestic relationship, and trespassing. The malicious use of a telecommunications device carries a punishment of up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine plus court costs, while the trespassing charge carries a potential 30-day sentence and up to a $250 fine. The 40-year-old Moore is scheduled to be sentenced on April 14.

His wife is a physician’s assistant. It’s rare for wives of head coaches to continue working but thank goodness she did!

I don't know that it is "rare." I think it depends on the wife's profession/occupation. it is certainly difficult since they have to move and coaches tenures at any one place are often not very long. If Moore's wife was a PA, she could transfer and find employment fairly easily. Thankfully.

In my entire career in CFB I have never worked for a head coach whose wife had a full time job. I would struggle to name one outside of Kelli Moore. It is rare

In the one case where I knew a Div I coach, his wife was an elementary teacher, she slipped right into a teaching job in the local school district. I don't know about others, but I wont assume.

The industry has also changed a remarkable amount even in the last 5 years, let alone 10. Head coaching salaries have gone up exponentially and the work schedule has become even more insane. Especially if they have kids, I think it’s too much to manage for most coaches and their wives.

Certainly if there are young kids it makes sense that a wife would just not work at least in the short term. The turn over time of coaches now is literally just 3-5 years? that is Div 1 and it is much longer at lower levels. That is just soooo toxic.
