DETROIT – Police are looking for a 13-year-old boy who was last seen on July 23 around 10:20 a.m.

Gabriel Dawson left his residency located in the 16600 block of Wyoming Avenue.

Officials say that Dawson left his home without permission from his parents and failed to return home. His parents told police that Dawson has autism...

Another scary one. Cute boy who is too young to be just out there somewhere.
Hoping his autism is not severe. Also hoping that Detroit LE can put some time into finding this youngster.

I haven't found an update today, so I assume that Gabriel is still missing. I hope he returns home soon. Prayers for his safety.

I haven't found any updates on this teen and will assume that he is still missing. Sadly, I don't think this case will have a happy ending. Autistic, without medication, and alone in Detroit does not bode well for this young man :(

There has to be an update after all this time!

Has he gotten lost in the shuffle of "big city" problems -- or is he back home without it being announced? SMH. Hoping for good news for him & his family, and for us, who worry.

I think there are cases of missing children/teens, especially those with developmental, medical, or mental health issues, who return home or are located without it being reported by the media. The families are entitled to privacy and probably prefer to keep the circumstances of the disappearance a family matter. I don't have a problem with that. I'd rather not get the details of a minor's disappearance and assume that they've been located than read that the child/teen met with foul play. JMO

Our county level police force in the uk always puts a thank you fb post as far as I am aware.

I never feel I entitled to any info about the resolution but it seems reasonable to expect them to at least say there was one so that kids don't slip through the cracks of not knowing.

I found no updates. And whilst I agree the public is not entitled to details, if you google his name it comes up with the fact that he is missing. I hardly think keeping inaccurate information on Google is in anyway helpful, if he was indeed found and accounted for.
