Don’t think this is cold case, looks like the killer of Julie Curns, Leonard J Waite has been released and is living in the same area where he committed the murder as well.

Leonard J. Waite was in the US Navy and stationed at Norfolk, Virginia. He was home on leave in Michigan when he murdered 15 year old Julie Ann Curns.

Julie Ann Curns was stabbed to death on 12 April 1979. A month later, on 15 May 1979, nurse Jane Snow was stabbed to death in Otsego County, Michigan. Her murder is still unsolved. Could the two cases possibly be related?

Bumping. Note that Julie was killed on 12 April 1979, Not in 1964 as stated in the thread title.

Since Leonard J. Waite was convicted of her murder, this is probably considered a solved case. But was anyone else involved? And was this his only murder?

Bumping this thread up. It seems odd that someone convicted oh such a murder would be released from prison. What is the story on this?
