Police search for missing Grand Rapids man | wzzm13.com

The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a missing man.

• 43-year-old Paolo Charles Crittenden was last seen at home on Jan. 27, 2021, at around 6 p.m.
• He was wearing a white/gray thermal top, a grey zip-up hoodie, blue jeans, a grey belt and a grey hat.
• Paolo is about 6’2” tall and weights around 205 pounds.
• Police say that a vehicle registered to him was involved in a crash on US-131 and Burton Street at around 7:20 p.m. the day he went missing. When LE arrived on scene, a subject ran. The crash investigators concluded that he was the person leaving the scene of the accident.
• “There is no reason to suspect foul play at this time,” stated GRPD PIO Sgt Adams. “However, Paolo’s family and the police department are very concerned that he has not been heard from in so long.”
• Police also say Paolo has a number of identifiable tattoos:

1. “Vito” on his neck
2. “NJC” on one arm
3. “Briasia, Paolo, Mateo and Giovanni” on the other arm

Anyone with information about Crittenden or his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Gregg Arsenault at 616-456-3324.

Sounds like he ran but could have succumbed to his injuries. We have seen cases where the person ran but then was later found deceased not too far away. On the other hand he could've decided to hide out and lie low. I wonder if they have done searches in the area.

Grand Rapids police have identified the body found in Plaster Creek last week as that of a missing GR man.

Paolo Charles Crittenden, 43, was reported missing Jan. 27 after leaving the scene of a crash near US-131 and Burton Street SW, according to a news release Tuesday.

The Kent County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and investigators have spoken with Crittenden’s family.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and are still waiting for the results of the autopsy.
