Oh how awful.
My first thought was this might be a little single engine plane sporting around, flying over the lake. I guess not tho. Sadly, there won’t be a good outcome, imo.

Authorities name 2 men in plane missing over Lake Michigan
"It isn’t clear which man was piloting the plane that dropped off radar Sunday night about 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) west of Frankfort.

The plane reportedly was having engine trouble and controllers had directed it to an airport in Frankfort when it vanished. Authorities have said the plane took off from Ontonagon in the Upper Peninsula and was heading to Monroe in southeastern Michigan.

The sheriff’s office says the search now is a recovery mission."

Michigan State Police and Benzie County Sheriff’s Department officials on May 22 found the empty Beechcraft Bonanza 35 that Randal Dippold and Emanuel Manos flew when it went down May 12. The MSP’s marine services team found Manos, from Monroe, dead in about 523 feet of water at 8 p.m. Wednesday, just southeast from where the plane was found, according to reports. On May 29, 2019, Manos' body was found in 523 feet of water. Dippold has yet to be found, despite an effort by the internationally-known water search and recovery organization, Bruce's Legacy, spending several days looking for Dippold in August 2019.
