Details of Disappearance

Perry was last seen by a health care worker at his home along Monette Road in Munising Township, Michigan at approximately 12:00 p.m. on August 22, 2006 in Munising Township, Michigan. He has never been heard from again.

Tracker dogs traced his scent to the south end of Monette Road, which intersects Alger County Highway 58, about eight miles east of Munising. They lost the trail after that. Extensive searches of the area turned up no indication of Perry's whereabouts.

Foul play is not suspected in Perry's disappearance. He has nine children and had lived on Monette Road for 35 years prior to his disappearance; he formerly lived near Tannery Hill. He used to work at the Kimberly-Clark mill in Munising, but had retired by 2006.

Perry enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and raising farm animals. His disappearance remains unsolved.

Good information here: Raymond Perry's Home Page

<<His rural home—which he shared with his wife of 65 years—is located along the east side of Monette Road in Alger County's Munising Township.

Monette Road is a nearly-mile-long, dead-end road running north off of CR H-58, some five miles east of Munising.>>

<<He was last seen by a home health-care nurse who visited his home around noon on Tuesday, August 22.

When the nurse returned about the same time the following day, Perry's wife Myrtle indicated she thought he'd gone to the hospital.>>

<<He did not have his prescription glasses, wallet, watch, ring, or dentures with him when he went missing.>>

<<Despite their best efforts—including exhaustive grid searches with dozens of foot searchers, K-9 teams, vehicles, and aerial assets—they were unable to locate Raymond in the rugged, heavily-wooded area around his Monette Road home.>>
